Video shows NYPD cop assaulting cyclist

A rookie NYPD cop was stripped of his badge and gun on Monday after a stunning video captured him slamming a bicyclist to the ground in an apparently unprovoked attack.
Officer Patrick Pogan, 22, was placed on modified duty soon after the video of the Times Square incident appeared on YouTube.
ADDED LATER: AS PER OFFICER POGAN'S POLICE REPORT, "The biker committed no crime prior to Pogan attacking him. Pogan lied and said the guy ran into him with his bike and knocked him down."
