A lot of good things to talk about today so let me jump in with this clip of YAK last Thurs. on 89tech9 radio. This is the same radio show Bobbito used to hold down and after left it was passed onto Timm See and Susio Smash who had yak come up for the show to promote his album releasing the 29th. So Yak goes up there with a Dat of 2 tracks to sneak to the radio populous only to find he brought the instrumentals by accident. Which led to an impromptu live performance of 2 tracks. But to anyone who grew up in Ny in the 90's and listened to Bobbito show, you know this was the way some of the best tapes( cassettes ) where made. These on air live performances of Big L, Kool Keith or early Old dirty Bastard versus used to blow my mind and are still circulated to this day. Basically this little Youtube clip brought me back to a more pure era of Hip Hop, to that feeling i used to get hearing those m.c.s drop some new shit that later would become classics. Hmm, its a shame this is an exclusive to the event, as (with all due respect) its a better shirt than anything Scifen is selling right now.
I have a couple of the shirts in the 'gimmie' line you did, and I miss the raw graff/character styles that Scifen seems to be passing up for more traditional designs lately...
