NYCC in review.

So this weekend was my first Comic Con. At least since I was a little kid, and I think the word "overwhelming" comes to mind when describing the madness goin down in every direction.  From video game demos, comic artists signings, Playboy Playmates signings ( ??? )  to groups of fanatics dressed like every super hero known in the D.C -MARVEL - DARK HORSE and movie universe.  One thing that was a bit disappointing for me was seeing some of the comics I used to collect as a kid and woulda swore should be worth good money by now where selling for like $4, all my old McFarlane Amazing Spidermans and my Jim Lee X-mens for pennies....  What happened?   These comics are like 20 years old now STILL selling for crumbs.  Man what a disappointment. Almost splurged on a $1200 Simon Bisley original but told myself to put the breaks on. So anyway I've got boxes of old comics in my grandmothers attic and after this weekends reality check probably won't be taken'm out now for another 20 years where at least they might buy me a metro card by then.
As for my signings on Friday and Saturday for the Comic Con's BLACK HORSELINGTON, both went over very nicely. Personally I would have liked to put more time into my signings on Friday,  I felt as though I was being rushed and when people are waiting online to meet someone and get a drawing nobody wants to be pushed along. But I understand there where ushers complaining about the isles being blocked as well as a signing scheduled after mine so I had to roll with the punches.  Overall I think it went pretty well.  Met alot of good people from far and wide who came out strictly to support  which was really dope.  I think I've had my nose in the books too long to realize the impact my work is making outside my fishbowl.  The same thing happened in Indonesia with sneaker Pimps last year, super shocked by the amount of people who came out to support.  Thins are moving in a good direction right now.
Here's some images from this past weekend.

A relic from out and about..........

And lastly a "FISHorselington" spotted off the coast of Main this past weekend by an off duty Eagle scout on a fishing trip with the Latch Key kids from the YMCA over on 14th st.  I think there's something in the air these days cuz there's been alot of spottings lately.  This one in the pic was later sold to a Cape Cod fisherman for a buy now price of $450.  Crazy.....
