EWOK 5MH's "Magic" Las Vegas in review. ( my review )
So I gotta back it up a bit, these 2 weeks ( 2months ) have been crazy. All the way
up to the day I left for L.A. on the 10th I was still wrapping up these
screen prints. There's an important
point
I'm trying to make about these prints. Each and every one has is own
"signature finger print" if you will. Everyone unique, and I feel I need to force feed some images to show that these
where NOT done by a machine unlike some other artists that seem to demand insane
prices for work not even done by them themselves mine hold weight, trust in that. Question your idol$.
The overall point being, if your unhappy with the work being dished out to you there is now an alternative. I AM THE ANTI- neckface, THE ANTI buffmonger...... You've been sold a lie, a false credential..... The wool has been pulled over your eyes and you've been bamboozled. Well here's your truth and you can feel safe supporting someone who has paid dues and continues to do so becuase of the love and not the almighty $. Spoon fed enough? GOOD, moving on.......................

hands on. Proof is in the pudding. Cosby would be proud.

Sun bathing. The winter is harsh on a brotha here in New York so I'm off to L.A. Jet Blue style for a tan........

From L.A. we did the ritual rented S.U.V. drive to Vegas. Although this time it was symbolic I didn't know it at the time. The "storm" (SCIFEN) you see was along side us the whole way to Vegas. This was odd becuase I've never personaly seen it rain in the desert before and we couldn't drive out of it no matter how fast we drove. So we rolled with it. Little did we know the sotrm we'd bring the strip that week......

Yepp, WEEEEE built our booth AGAIN this time around from the ground up, no union workers. This pic is one of our interns "M-rod" helping Kevin put the SCIFEN Logo on the podium. Pay your dues homey it builds character. You'll run this company one day.

Day 1, 8am and the booth is Crackin! Look at that shit...
So as I browse around the net it's funny to see how these other labels claim to be "running the game" in these online interviews when truth be told its all bullshit. You really think your fool'n people? Real will always recognize real and the horse shit will just fade to black like all the other labels from past magics that no one can remember. Scifen is lookin at 7 years strong at Magic, it's high time these "too kool for skool" labels get off their own dicks and realize their place in this food chain. "Don't expect more then the next man when you put in less work" -NAS.

The Enterage plus.... Teknyc, myself, Lino, Ivan The Urban Action Figure, his boy( ? ), and Flipz with the Scifen "Treacherous" hoody. Good times indeed. Go Youtube "SCIFEN" to see one of the many booth throwdowns from these guys. We tend to cause a ruckus with that real shit while other corny ass brands rent 50 foot hydrolic limos and stretch vinyl decals from bumper to bumper. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ......

"Ladies Love Scifen" a.k.a. "SEX KILLS" tee on display at the booth. I Love this piece.

Scott Langston, master mind behind "Artful Dodger" chillin with a grin at his booth. Yo them dudes stood like that for 4 fuckin days straight.
Revok doin the "Boosted' Mobile thing.
as well as Claw boogy.

Scott the 10 Deep master mind along with Josh writing number$ at their space by the campground.

Manone and King 157 painting live. Had to show these brothas some love.

Yo who's that rockin the commy jacket???????

It's PLANET ASIA hahaha. Teknyc with the cameo in the back.

And as symbolic as the SCIFEN storm going into Vegas, it was equaly as such on the way back to L.A. afterwards as you can see from the clouds retired behind the mountains somewhere in Nevada only to go on standby and come out again 6 months from now. See you soon Vega$, all this hard work pay$ off in the end as seen this time around.

Now back in L.A. it's a pretty good feeling opening up my 2nd batch of "Horselington" stickers to find them done correctly ( www.Calsilkscreen.com) as apposed to the first time I got jerked by Ryan Crase (Seattle) who did the WORST job possible. I was overcharged and was only delivered 1/2 of my order by mail and inch smaller then I was Quoted for originaly. THEN stop answering my emails about following up. Great business you got goin on there guy, Karma is a bitch remember that. None the less, silly obsticals won't hold me down, and in the end I'm sittin on a BANGIN batch of 2000 die cut vinyl stickers 5'x3' for $660, witha free back print, WOWSERS.......... Your the man Dennis. And Mr. Ryan Crase you can eat a fat dick homey and I hope nobody I know ever goes to you for anything. You and I will cross paths one dayI'm sure of it. The world gets smaller everyday.

SO headed back home. Be honest now, how much better can it be then watchin "BEAT STREET" on Jet Blue while flying over the omnipresent midwest we all could care less about. Ahhh life is good.
So that's my the madness in a brief nutshell, minus a lil bboy battle somewhere in Vegas, some blazzin Ahi Tuna @ Bahama Breeze(x 3), the Groovaloos show at UCLA ( very sick, go see that shit! )my partners dog knocking himself out hitting the coffee table, waking up with dracula eyes, and Omar Epps at Hugo's for breakfast this morning in L.A. Not too shabby overall. Next up, New York Comic Conn. See you Friday from 5-6pm at the Toy Tokyo Booth with my custom splattered Horselingtons and 10 of my 40 screen prints( 1st come 1st serve ).

just out of curiosity, if you're the "anti-neckface" then why cover your face when you do signings and such in public? Not tryin to be a dick or anything, just curious.

Hey rob, just a heads up "real" graffiti writers have been covering their faces in pictures lonnnnng before Neckface was ever heard of. I know it was an honest qwuestion but your showing ignorence by even making the comparison without knowing the artists history first. Ewok has been has been to my knowledge writing graffiti I think more then a decade before Neckface was ever heard of, I could be wrong because I only heard of neckface like maybbbe 2 years ago and I'm from New York. But I think it's funny you think he's "doing what Neckface does" lol, THAT is irony.

you talk a lot of shit. go ahead a dis the people that got you off the street and into the gallery. fucking grow up and stop infighting. by the way neckface is a much better artist than you.

New number and I never got the fixed artwork to print. Sorry, I'm willing to refund but since you said that stuff in your blog........
Anyway, I've learned a lot and business is good. Looks like you're doing good as well. We all have our pitfalls and I'm willing to make good on mine if you're out there. Just hit me up for stix or money Ewok.
Thanks,
Ryan
